Packed Right began in 1998 as an office products sourcing company and now runs a warehouse in Farmers Branch

In 1998, the company behind Packed Right had an idea to bring overseas sourcing and private brands to the office products business (Our Story). Within two years, it decided that sourcing alone wouldn't be enough and that its customers needed services here in the US. So it moved into 3PL work for retailers and manufacturers (About page). Today Packed Right is one of four companies under a Dallas parent called RightBy, next to a supplement maker, a customer service center and a sourcing company (RightBy).

That means a brand can have products sourced, made, packed, shipped and supported by companies that share one owner. The trade-offs are that prices aren't public, the website doesn't name anyone who runs it, and its contract leaves most of the risk of lost inventory with you.

A sister company makes supplements in Dallas

Packed Right's sister company is the part most brands won't find elsewhere. Filled Right makes supplements, drinks, gummies, capsules and powders in Dallas, and it says it's GMP certified and FDA registered (Filled Right). It hands warehousing to Packed Right, so a supplement brand could go from the filling line to customer orders without a truck to a separate 3PL. RightBy also runs Product Support Center, which answers your customers by phone, email and chat (RightBy).

For daily shipping, the FAQ says USPS, UPS, DHL and FedEx pick up every day, and same-day shipping depends on your agreement (FAQ). You pay all taxes and import duties on your own shipments.

Orders ship from one Farmers Branch warehouse

Packed Right ships from one warehouse in Farmers Branch, on Gillis Road, and its contact center sits on the Dallas Parkway in Dallas (About page). RightBy lists "ambient climate control" for the warehouse (RightBy), and Filled Right calls it temperature controlled (Filled Right). But the warehousing page doesn't give the building's size or say whether it can hold cold goods (Warehousing page). Whether Farmers Branch has cold storage isn't public. You can schedule a tour to see your products in person, the FAQ says (FAQ).

You carry the risk on lost inventory

Packed Right doesn't publish prices. Its quote form asks for your number of SKUs, monthly orders and pallets, and says "Qualified new accounts get 2 months free storage" (quote page). The page doesn't say who qualifies.

The customer terms matter more than usual here. You keep the risk of loss on your inventory unless Packed Right was grossly negligent or acted on purpose (customer terms). Missing stock only counts if it's more than 1% of your inventory in a period, and even then only under that same gross negligence test. Its total liability is capped at the fees you paid for the service behind the claim. So the terms require you to carry your own insurance on your goods. If the work order says nothing about ending the deal, either side can leave with 30 days notice. Packed Right also holds a lien on your inventory for unpaid bills.

One testimonial is the only review

The only public review on the website is one testimonial. It's signed by Dana Herbst, President, and sits next to a logo for a company called Tessie (About page). It says the team makes sure "everything is fulfilled accurately and on time." The website doesn't name any of Packed Right's own leaders or founders.

It fits supplement brands wanting one Dallas partner

Packed Right ranks first on the tryfriend.space list of the best Walmart 3PLs in Texas (tryfriend.space list). In my opinion it fits a supplement or wellness brand that wants manufacturing, warehousing and customer service from one family of companies in Dallas. It's a weaker fit for a brand that needs warehouses on both coasts, or one that can't carry its own inventory insurance.

If you're not sure it fits your orders, my 3PL finder ranks it against every other 3PL using your own numbers.
